I enjoy this point. I also have really struggled to understand the best rhythm in high-coordination/high-external-engagement roles or periods for this sort of Slack. From an energy perspective it seems like there's no winning move to me other than full surrender to the abyss?
Yeah... sometimes when there's huge coordination you kinda have to. I'm bad at those roles and rarely do them. I also think a lot of "need high coordination" is often... not as needed as people think. At least in consensus-deadlock cultures, the root cause is often that the decision making process is broken (everyone and their second cousin needs to chime in to move anything forward), so on its face it feels like a coordination issue, but it's really an authority (who decides) issue.
