Micro Burnouts
Everyone talks about "burnout" as something that happens when you work too much.
I see it far more in people who work a normal amount on things they know don't matter.

This is focused on generalized burnout. But burnout can come in small increments. Even when you might be working on a larger, years-long project that does matter.
For example: An entire afternoon can be a micro-burnout when someone asks for a Strategy Document that is just a restatement of what you told them in a Process Document 6 months ago that they didn't have time to read then and they won't read now, either. You may well be working towards something important. But along the way these little tasks that you know will go nowhere? They can still add up to burnout even when you’re working on something that’s long-term important.
